Plastic Forks is the tale of a radical scientist working in the field of reproductive studies who has his own creation, a device that can turn anyone it is implanted inside into a self-impregnating new life form, used against him and taken from him for further development and inevitable perversion.
While the premise is wildly bizarre, this is actually one of McKeever's more easily accessible works from his writer/artist canon.
McKeever's artwork is notably different in this series than in any of his other output as it is more colored, sporting a watercolor style, that is both beautiful and disturbing.
This series is long out of print, never having been collected in TPB form since the individual issues were released some 20 years ago.
