A vintage western feature with a different twist, Magazine Enterprises' The Lemonade Kid was actually the masked identity of a supporting character from another M. E. strip, Bobby Benson And The B-Bar-B Riders. Young ranch owner Bobby's foreman and guardian was Tex Mason, who leads a double life as a government security officer."His shirt is golden and his twin sixguns are steel blue! His drink is lemonade. His name is - "The Lemonade Kid!" Like the B-Bar-B strip, The 'Kid's adventures were set in the contemporary west. Though only a backup feature in his original run, he gets a starring roll in this colorful one-shot from the Golden Age of the western comic book, rollicking through a pair of superb reprint adventures drawn by comics genre master Bob Powell: "Web Of Doom", originally seen in Bobby Benson #4, November/December 1950, and "Humpty Dumpty", from Bobby Benson #11, August/September, 1951.(Both stories written by Gardner Fox.) A bonus back-up feature makes this book an all-Bob Powell package, with a tale of the young Cheyenne warrior, Red Hawk- "Message For the Chief". It is reprinted from Straight Arrow #51, and also drawn by the aforementioned Mr. Powell.
